Wohoooo !!!

U guys maybe know about my old project (barrel harmonizer, alu stock) and that one of them is working at this date. The Alu stock has been put to the side for a good ollll nap, but NOW !!! it's time for new stuff.

When i started making the alu stock etc, i made a totaly new Gas-block. The gasblock had more mass then stock and an inbuilt shock absorber, it have thought not been shot much after all this, and it's going to be tried out next saturday @ 100 yards/meters. I have just shot 50 Meters with the gasblock and standard stock (houge). One big diffrence without stock gas-block is that mine doesnt attatche it self to the stock, so it's more or like free floating (could be both good and bad). In a slow fire situation (target shooting) it's good me thinks, cuase it's no strange tension stress apon the block/barrel from the stock or reciever fitted badly att reassembly.
I got the barrel harmonizer on offcourse.

But now i want to test another ide, that i know other people have tried with diffrent results.
I want to make a barrel stabelizer/stiffner, that requires a new high tech gas-block *haha* and a metal/alu tube + adapter for barrel tip/tube.

The tube will be fastned in the gasblock, just the way you clamp the barrel (see drawing).
Then i will make a barrel adapter, that will fit the barrel tip with a force on fit if u know what i meen. That adapter will be pounded into the tube so it's safe in place and cant move.
The hole thing goes on the barrel, then you attatche the new gasblock and woalla u got a barrel stiffner aka 1 inch bull barrel look alike ;)

1. Gasblock, super beeefed and with shock absorber like the old one
2. Tube, made of Alu or steel, maybe went holes to.
3. Barrel adapter thingy

What you guys think of my plan.. ??

Its about time we heard from you again!! Welcome back, did you get your house in order like you wanted? I think your idea is a good one, we all are thinking about ideas for barrel stiffening and tuning. I found some 2" aluminum stock in my basement, I took one and drilled a hole in it but I have not decided where to go with it for now. ;)

Your big hare is still talked about!!
good to here from the Swede buddy Marcus

Thx for the warm wellcome Tri :)

Well the new hose is great, but everything isnt finished yet <_< .
I have the master bathroom left, going to put electric floor heating and mosaic tiles on the floor and then white tiles on the walls + new bathtub, toilet etc etc. But the "ass pain" so to speak is the warm water heater, cuase it's in there  . And before tiling etc i need to move it, so im going to move it just outside the bathroom and connect it out there so we have warm water and no need to stress the tiling.

The new project is a fine one (if i get it started) :D , will maybe take some time, but heey no stress no swett.
Is actually going to my milling buddy to fix a other friends wever rail so it accomendates the MARK 4 CQ/T scope, so ill talk with him about it.

Going to draw everything up tonigt + check hardware book for some nice tube dia's.

Well c ya around, gona try to stay here more often now..

Hey Marcus,
Good to see you back..... you always keep us on our toes with your good new ideas. ;)

Now that you are a homeowner you will find that you are never done fixing. When you finally think you are done, something will need repair or replacement. :(

You just have to go ahead and sneak the gun projects in. :D

Keep us informed as you go .

Yeee I'll have to give my milling friend his hands full and give him total liberty to think of his own :D

I fixed a HP Color Laserjet 4500 for him a couple of months ago (as an gift) so I have plenty of kredit

Im making drawings as we speek, and i have had to redone some stugg cuase of the dia of the stiffner tube, moved the screws ferther out and other stuff. The tube do need to be drilled/milled out just a little bit to make the screw pass it at the clamping side..

I see your creative genius is still at work Pdaddy. I just have one question: What keeps your Forearm Liner & Stock Cap Assembly in place? It is a must have to guide the slide rod.

Well Cajungeo, it just sits there ;)

I actually made a speciall super secret holder for the forarm liner/opt-rod guide B) .
When i bedde my mini i made a putrution at the place where the liner goes down in the magwell, so it snapps in place..

But it sits in place without that anyway.. Is this a good enuff answare for ya Daddy yooo :D
