I was wondering if anyone here has this rifle with the adjustable muzzle brake. I mainly was interested in how well the the MB works to tune the rifle barrel. Is it basically the same as the BOSS system?

After doing some searching I seem to have found the answer to my question. The adjustable means that it can be turned on or off. I would still like to hear any thoughts or experience with this rifle and MB. Let me know what you think.

Hey debo! That's a good question. Although I can't say I've shot a rifle with an adjustable muzzle brake, I have seen a few equipped with them. I think Savage also makes a .308 bolt-action pistol which comes with an adjustable muzzle brake. You might want to check on that...Thanks for your post and welcome to the bolt forum! :sniper:

I have a factory Savage 112 Blued action with a stainless barrel in 300 RUM. with the factory Savage brake. The brake is'nt adjustable it's either on or off.

It's a fairly light rifle for 300 RUM and I've never shot it with the brake off yet. It'll boot ya pretty good with my 220 gr. handloads with the brake on. My 125 Speer TNT groundhog loads were'nt to bad on the shoulder though.
