My .308 all weather. It has a Timny trigger and a Simmons scope I really don't like the scope but it was sold as a package and looks nice. Shoots pretty good. I haven’t had any good ammo though it in a few years (I have 18 other guns that also need attention) but she’ll do 1.5” at 100yds with Chilean surplus .308.

Here is a close up of the scope and you can see why I don't want to get rid of it.

Looks nice Jeff,

It's the ruger stock. They say you can drive a truck over it. Has the green inserts whitch where an option. Kinda light. It kicks like a mule. Much worse than my Garand.

Very nice rifle Jeff! My brother has a Ruger .22 mag with the green stock inserts...A very sharp looking rifle. If she shoots 1 1/2" groups at 100 yards with Chilean surplus, I'm sure it'd be a tack driver with match grade ammo.

As for it being light and kicking like a mule, a friend of mine had a 300 Win. Mag. but he had a screw on muzzle brake (legal in CA). That alone brought the recoil down the .223 levels.

Here's something fun to do with a .308 or similar chambered rifle - get a bunch of soda pop cans and soup cans, fill 'em with sand, place 'em at 100 - 150 yards, and blast 'em! If you get a good solid hit, there's no clean up. The can disappears  .

See ya on the range!
