I have a Marlin 336A 30-30 that won't eject. I've taken it apart and everything looks OK, but I'm not sure what to be looking for. Anyone have any ideas what it could be.
Thanks.
Open your lever as far as it will go. Look in the receiver just in front of the fully-retracted bolt. You should see a little lever in the bolt track. It fits through a slot on the left side of the bolt and is compressed when you close the action. It can break from hard use or fall out when the bolt is removed, and in either case, the rifle will not kick the empties out. The entire ejector is about 1 1/2 inches long.
You can order a replacement from Numrich. Phone 845-679-2417 and have your gun's model #, serial #, and caliber handy. They usually need all three to match the part to your rifle. If you just want to inquire about availability of the part and do not wish to order, call 845-679-4867. Their web site is here: Gun Parts (http://www.e-GunParts.com)

yeah, you're right, the ejector is missing. Numrich doesn't have one so I'll have to loook elsewhere i guess.
The next place I'd try would be the Marlin Fire Arms Company. Might be the current ejector will match up with your rifle.
