I've been looking at some of the extra capacity magazines available for the Beretta 92 series handguns and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. Specifically the 20 and 30 round magazines I've been seeing. Are they difficult to use? Especially heavy(beyond the standard 15 rounds) or cumbersome? Anyone use them regularly? Hard to use in a holster? It's not for concealed carry so that's not a factor. Even if you use, or are familiar with, extended capicity mags for other pistols like 1911s, Rugers, Sigs, Glocks, or other such handguns let me know. Thanks!

I have some 30 round mags for my ruger p89. They work great and never jam. they are heavy and expend below the grip by a few inches. they are fun at the range but you go through the ammo fast.

Thanks for the reply, any idea who makes your magazines? I'm looking for a good brand to buy but ones to stay away from would help too. Thanks!

Mine are promag. I bought them used but all work very well. I know triple K makes some 30 round pistol mags. I have never tryed there pistol mags but i had some of there 30 round mini 14 mags and they were pretty much junk.

Thanks, I've got a new manufacture Triple K mag and it works great, lifetime guarantee. So that's kind of odd. I have heard of Triple K mags being junk in the standard cap mags though. I'll try and find Pro-mags and see if they'll work for me. Thanks!

Is it still legal to purchase hi-capacity preban magazines in Kali?
