I noticed Tapco has a sale on the stripper clip scope mount for 29.99.That seems like a great deal....considering they were 50 bucks. If I remember correctly, they started out at $70.
I currently have the 3rd gen. full tapco mount. It works great, but it sure would be nice to be able to load mags from the top of the rifle.I worry a little about the bolt being more exposed to the elements though.
I can load and fire my sks faster this way than I can with using hi cap mags.
If nothing else, you have a stripper clip guide built into the rifle,it can't get lost.
I normally keep a red dot on my fal rifle or a small 4x chinese scope,so the shortened rail space wouldn't really be a consideration.
has anyone out there had any experience with these mounts?
just thought some of you other FALer's might want to know about this sale and also thought maybe we could get some action goin in this part of the board.
