Wow, this shooting contest lasts 2 1/2 months? It's just my humble opinion, but that seems like a long time. Wouldn't it be fun to have a new target every month? Once every 2 1/2 months is only 5 a year.

Well---that's what we did last year. The problem was members could only compete about 3 months. You can look at the posts in this section to see not that many can compete every month. So I'm trying this every quarter so it will fit into everyone's schedule. Some can't shoot often in the winter, school etc. I'm hoping it will spark more interest.

Don't feel you only get to shoot once every quarter. You can shoot as often as you want to upgrade your target.

My shoulder is getting better. People don't realize how physically demanding this moderator job is. ;) I was moderating, and reached back for a reloading book to research an answer to a post, and my shoulder popped, and I almost fell out of my chair with pain. It was dislocated. Last time it hurt so bad I could hardly hold the rifle to shoot. Don't worry The Carpractor has reset it. Man it hurt. The swelling is down, and am currently going thru Electro, and Ultra sound therapy 3 times a week. I now have 60% use of my arm now compared with 25% a week ago. I figure next weekend I will be able to shoot. So guys watch out, the Cajun is on the comeback! :D

Glad to hear you're feeling better. Yikes, dislocated shoulders must be painful.

Well, I plan to upgrade my target later...I like this quarter's target because it's more realistic than bench shooting, and more challenging. You can't win just by having a perfectly accurate rifle, you have to practice.

Hey Cajun, try sleeping with a magnet under you shoulder. Magnets help the blood to circulate and relieve pain and swelling. The Japanese have used for centuries for healing, the stronger the better. Make sure you are not wearing a heart pacer or electronic medical device.

get well dude!

A magnet? I have a 100-lb magnet. When I first got it I stuck it to everything like a kid. I stuck it to the side of my refrigerator. Never stick a 100-lb magnet to your appliances. My fridge now has a bulge in the side where I stuck my foot in it to pull it off.

Maybe I'll try it when I'm moderating.

hey Cajun, don't forget, Magnets and computers don't mix well. Hard drives puke around magnets
