Dang it everyone is beating me bad! Good shooten cjgemm! So what shooting position did you use?

I am getting my dislocated shoulder worked on, but it is comming along slow. Am glad we have 2 1/2 months left in this series.

I thought we had to shoot standing offhand. Did I miss something?

You can shoot offhand, prone, or kneeling. I shot offhand, but the recoil was bad, even with the scope. So I found out that kneeling is much better.

Upon looking at the rules again, I found that the scoped rules are different than the open sights:

4. Free standing off-hand position only. Nothing touching the body for support is allowed! I expect all of you to be on your "Honor" here.

was this a misprint or are the rules different between the two classes?

Oops, I was looking at the rules for scoped rifles. It seems that for iron sights, only offhand shooting at 25 yards is allowed. For scoped rifles, it's prone, offhand, or kneeling at 50 yards.

By the way, that's a pretty good target for offhand, cjgemm. I only managed to get five shots off on mine.

Sorry for the confusion on my part cjgemm. The open sight is off hand only. I'm ordering the M-1 sight for my mini and take a stab at it. I couldn't embarrass myself any more than I did with the scope. <_<

I shot some more targets today. Standing @ 25 yard I couldn't get a score higher then 60. I decided to try one kneeling. Much easier to keep'm where I want'm.
