I hate to say it but it is hotter 'n hades down here in TX. Went to the dump today to crank up the 10/22. Thought I had everything loaded up and took off about 10:30, it's 14.5 miles and a 15min. drive. When I got there I drove straight down to the mound of dirt to set up a target.......... looked in the back and no target stand. Plenty targets. 40min. later I got back and set up. So this is east Tx. oil lease land and down in a hole surrounded by Red Oaks, Sugar Pine, ect. but no shade thats useable. I got such a bad case of sweat-in-eye disease I almost couldn't shoot, and that was just from setting up. Anyway I found a few CCI mini mags and decided to see if this old 10/22 still liked them since the re-dux. Oh yes still likes 'em. So ya'll tell me if the left lower corner is a 50 or a 60..... I can't tell. That and the center bull were mini mags. After I ran out I tried the other stuff I had in rapid fire so I could get back in some cooler air. Next time I'll have more mini mags and get there at day light.
Back at it, after getting out the cheaters and a magnifing glass I think it's a 60pt. bull at the lower left. I doubt that will last long .........

Well Rutro you can see the target better than we can. If you say it's a 60 it looks very close to that to me too. Good shooten. Guess I will have to kick it up a notch to beat ya.

No shade? I was in Nacogdoches, Tx last friday. There is plenty of shade there. Mostly yellow pine trees. Yep it's getting hot. The guys will be fighting over fans in the hanger soon. :(

Well plenty shade, just none I can stay under while shooting. I finaly just counted the ones that were definatly not in or touching the bull. Not that hot yet either but the dang humidity is worse than down south on the coast where ya'll are.
