View Full Version : 356 lever actions
Anybody had one, have one, love one, hate one, heard about one??? I'm curious if ammo and brass are available anymore too...Thanks guys
B) There are plenty of brass & bullets around..The 356 is probably one of the best lever rounds ever made. Its like one step up from the 35 Remington and one below the 45/70,but better trajectary. You can convert a 35 to 356 very easy, but the 356 needs 22-24 inches of barrel to use up the extra powder.Read the post "358 Marlin" and you'll see what I mean. :sniper:

Yes I have one in a 336er marlin. And yes I love it and I have had alot of offers to buy it.But will never sell it.My father and father-in-law have tried to get it from me for years. They finally gave up and both of them had 35 rem. rechamberd to the 356.And yes you can still get factory ammo but it is hard to find and is expensive. But you can still find brass at midwayUSA.The 356 I have has a 20'' barrel and is very accurate.I have only deer and hog hunted with it And it dropped them in there tracks.I have never had to track an animal I shot with the 356 win.
I hope this helps.
