Rules for Scoped Mini 14/30's
We had a fair turn out in Series 1, I hope for a better turn out in Series 2.
We are shifting our focus to defense in this series. This Series will be both fun, and challenging, as we are using a timed rapid fire.
1. Select one of these targets.

2. Range 50 yds.
3. 10 shots per target timed 10 sec max. Each shot inside, or touching the man outline is 10 points. 100 points possible.
4. You may use Kneeling, sitting, or prone positions only. No Bench Rests, bipods, sandbags, etc allowed! I expect you to be on your "Honor" here.
5. To save computer space please post 1 target per shooter. As in the Gallery the Shooter will own that thread. 1 thread only per member please. You can edit or upgrade your target, and repost with a better score on your thread only.
6. 100 is a perfect score. Please write on target Points, Date, Distance/Class, and Shooting Position.
7. PERFECT UNION members only. For family members or friends to enter, they must first register, and become members. (They don't have to be the owner of rifle)
8. I will verify target, i.e. highest score, or in event of a tie, the tightest group. The shooter of the highest will be named "PERFECT UNION MINI SHOOTING CHAMPION of SERIES 2 - SCOPE CLASS"
9. Each series the title is up for grabs, as long as the interest is there.
10. Mini-14, and Mini-30 compete on even terms, no other rifles please. There is no limit on the mods done to the rifle.
11. I reserve the right to change the rules as needed.
12. Gentlemen, and Ladies, this is on your honor. Good luck, and good shooting.
Shooting aids allowed: Rifle sling only.
So many of you are using the Mini as a CQB/Home defense weapon. You need to be quick, and accurate with it. This will be a good test to see if you should use it as such or as a club. Don't worry if your target isn't as good as someone elses. This is about increasing your own skill's. So get some targets, go to the range, and have some fun.
Tip: you may want to download 1 black target, and take it to Kincko's or equiv, to use the copy mach, about 3 cents a copy. (Cheaper than printer ink.)
This is harder than it looks guys. You may want to practice slow fire some in these basic shooting positions before attempting rapid fire. Use a stop watch or a shooting buddie to time you. The kids are great at timing ole Dad. ;)
