Hello,
I have a question which I'm sure somebody out there has an answer to.
I'm contemplating picking up a Colt Gunsite sereies 70 pistol. When I was at gunsite I looked at the pistol, nice weapon. I like all of the enhancements on it because that's basically all the things that I've done to my other colts. On the web I saw a claim that the pistol at gunsite is not the same as Colt lists on their site. Anyone out there own one, or have any thoughts about there being a difference with them?
Thanks Neel

I think the difference is you are going to find that those at Gunsite were done on-site, not factory workups. As such much more personal attention is given to the piece.

I believe that Punchie is right! At one time, and it could have changed, the Gunsite models that are used by instructors etc., were made on site. They were very high quality pistols with a large amount of hand fitting. I think recently, the Gunsite name was licenesed to Colt, and they are assembly line produced now.
