Thanks, Red. I tried to post a pic with some accessories, but it wouldn't work. I also have 4 different bayonets, grenade launcher, grenade launcher sight(new, unissued), ammo belts, parachute flares(1944 dated). Used to be a WW2 re-enactor & used this stuff occasionally.

Yes. I keep repeating the endless refrain "I am not a
collector. World War II Garands are old and beat up.
I do NOT need one." Makes perfect sense, too.

So why did I just lay aside $750 to restore a Danish
WW2 rifle from the CMP?

And I haven't even seen the rifle yet.

Sentiment, I guess. What the heck, sentiment
makes a kind of sense, too. After all, World War
II rifles can pay off. Trouble is, I know full well
I will give up my CAR before I give up a World
War II Garand.
