View Full Version : my 10/22 with triple x suppressor
the cans made for 223 but is just fine on 22.all ya can hear is the bolt moving <_<
I'd ask if you had a bolt buffer, but I assume cajungeo told you to get one the first time you posted :D If I had the money and felt like going through with the paper work I'd get a suppressed barrel.

noooo,i'd never get a integral suppressor!with a thread on suppressor you can move the can from gun to gun, as long as its the right caliber.but with an integral barrel your stuck with the one gun.for instance, with this 223 cal can i can put it on any 22cal rifle, pistol, any 223 cal rifle like a mini 14,ac556,or ar15 ,any 223 rifle!
these things are such a pain getting, you better get the most out of it.
Hmm, I want more details on your suppressor lol. I thought you needed to pay and fill out papers for each gun that it was going to be used on. Unless you live outside the US. Where'd you get the suppressor? How much did it cost you, not counting the fee's to the govt?

im in the u.s.a. you fill out a form 4 for the suppressor, get the chief of police to sign the form, get your finger prints done, get passport pics, all in duplicate, with a $200 check to the atf, mail the whole package to the atf, wait 3-6 months for the approval, then you can pick up the can.you can move the suppressor from gun to gun as you wish.the suppressor is the papered part not the gun.i got the suppressor for $200 bucks, so the fee to the guv was just as much as the can!
It looks great on the gun. Good job! Did you just buy the suppressor online or what? Sounds pretty easy to get permission if I can scrape together a couple hundred extra dolars. Did you need to buy a new barrell or did you thread it yourself?

no it has to be purchased from a class 3 dealer.the barrel had to sent to my out of state gunsmith to be threaded, its not the kind of thing you should do yourself cause if the threads are off a lilbit you will get baffle strikes.and that means the bullet could hit a baffle inside the can,and could blast right out the side of the can and ya dont want that to happen.
first you need to find out if c3 is legal in your state.then you need to find out if your chief will sign off on the form, you can also use a d.a.,a judge,a sherriff, and a couple of other people for the sign off.if your ok with that stuff the rest is gravy.
what state are you in?
btw if ya mant to see some of my other fullautos go to the mini14 gallery, under my name.let me know how ya like them lol
I'm in Montana. I'm not positive the site I checked is accurate, but supposedly SBR, SBS, Suppressors, Full Auto, DD, and AOW are legal here, so if the Sheriff wants to sign I'm all go. I've gotta give it a couple more years 'till I'm 18, but with my income rate I'm gonna need a couple years to accumulate the money anyway. Do you know of any c3 dealers with websites? Even if they don't sell, just to get a general idea of prices or whatever...I'm off to check the mini-14 forums ;).

i believe you have to be 21 in order to purchase a suppressoror any c3.i got a site that you can check out.its www.mac10.org go to the left hand side of the screen and scroll down to macs in media.theres a bunch of full auto videos.lots of mg's with suppressors being shot also.
go check it out. :ar15:
Hmm...I thought it was 18 for c3..I'm probably thinking of c2 there though, I haven't looked into c3 as much just because of the costs involved. You've got a great collection in the mini-14 forum! One of the guns I'd really like to have would be an MP-5, so I'm looking into getting c3 eventually.

i almost hate to tell you this but an mp-5 goes for about 12-15,000 dollars today.and by the time your able to get one it could be 3 times as much!full autos are very expensive! there was a ban placed on them in 1986,so the only new mg's that are made now are made for law enforcement and military.so the only mg's we can have are the ones made before 86.and since there are no new mg's being made, the mg's that are out there are very rare and expensive!just as an example i bought a m11-9 last jan for 1,200 that same mg goes for 2,500 today!and they will keep going up in value
Unfortunately I noticed the price on MP5's lol. Who knows, maybe I'll take out a home loan so I can actually afford one lol. I saw a mini gun going for 250,000...I found that pretty funny, I didn't know you could even get a mini gun as a civilian. I'll have to start thinking about this stuff and see what I can do to get money together or whatever..

I can't afford it either Bo. So a poor mans supresser would be to shoot Super Colbri. About all you hear is the action.
