Nice, I had to go and check to make sure mine was still here. Almost the same, I don't have a bipod on mine. The pic is a tad small, what kind of barrel is that? Is it a folder or welded open?

Hey Rutro or anyone else- on your butler creek folding stock, do you have a barrel band on it? If not, is there any way to get the receiver and barrel to sit tight without the barrel band?
Its the stock barrel with a bushnell 3-9x32 silver scope, butler creek folding stock, and an outers bipod. Thats all ive done to it so far. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what i should do next. Ive pretty much got the cosmetic stuff done. Now i want to work on performance. Any ideas?

Cool!!! Trigger job!!! Check the Tips and Tricks. Cajungeos' trigger job is the best thing since sliced bread. Took mine down to the slickest 3# trigger I've ever pulled and I do'ed it myself!! I wouldn't mess with the barrel band, freefloat it. Again tips and tricks. As a matter of fact I've done everything in the Tips and Tricks to mine plus a few of my own. Do a search for rutro in the search section and check my rig out. It's a bullbarrel BC folder.

Nice pre-ban folder you have there. First thing I'd do if you haven't already is installing a Bolt buffer to protect the receiver from cracking, and to smooth out the action. Then a trigger job. Throw away the barrel band, free float the barrel, bed the stock, and select ammo, which shoots best in your rifle. If that is a Center fire scope get a rimfire scope or scope with Adjustable Objective, with weaver style mount and rings. These things will at least double your accuracy.

Now if you want a tack driver, replace the stock with a solid stock; add a match barrel, and tuner. Get a 6-24x44mm scope. Now we are talking .500" at 50 yds are better. Our target for Custom class shooting contest is shooting flies at 50 yds.

I hope you don't take this as criticism. I meant it as there are soooooo many things you can do to the worlds most customized rifle, the list goes on. Check out our Tips & Tricks section, a work in progress. Warning Customizing the 10/22 is addictive!

cajungeo-

Thanks for all the advice. Its a lot to think about though. Oh yeah. FYI- it is a Bushnell .22 rimfire 3-9x32 scope. The rings came with the scope. What is the difference of aftermarket rings....how do they improve accuracy? Also im kinda confussed by all of this barrel floating and stock bedding talk (like i said im new). I understand that it improves accuracy, but what exactly is it?

Thanks-

The dove tail mount, and rings will slip causing your POI to change. The weaver style locks the rings in. If you don't want to spend the bucks, you can bed the mount grove either side of the rings with JB weld. This will keep rings from slipping.

Go to the tips & tricks section. Look under Free Floating the barrel, and Stock Bedding. Here is an article on Stock bedding.
