I have a couple of questions, such as does any one have any experience with the S&W 99 in .45 cal. I have a S&W 5906,and am consideing upgrading to .45 cal., and since I like the feel of S&W I was looking for a 4506 or 4516. I could go for the 1911 S&W, but the feel of the 4506 fits me better. Then of course there is as I mentioned the S&W99, along with the new Springfield XD, and of course the Walther version of the S&W99. So many guns, so little money. What is one to do?

IMHO the SW99 in 45 just does not feel right . Seens different than the 9 & 40 (which I like). If you want full size and don't mind the weight, try the CZ97. Smaller and lighter try the EAA Witness series.

OK, now what about the Glock, especially since it has all the cool aftermarket and factory accessories? Any body care to enlighten me as to why I would want one of these in a 45? And how good would it be against any other 45.

Great pistol.....VERY reliable and digests ANYTHING you feed it without jamming! The only drawback IMHO is the rather large grip!! Now,I love Glocks,I have 3 (models 17,22,20) but when I wanted a high-cap full sized .45 pistol,I went with the Para-Ordnance P14 Limited! The Limited model had more features that I wanted.

OK Quad, of the Glocks that you have are any in 45, since I know that they come with 10 round mags in 45. And how Accurate are they.
Also any opinions on the Baby Eagle in 45, anyone?

No .45's,they are 9mm,.40s&w and 10mm. But the 10mm uses the same frame as the .45,so I know how big it is....But I wanted a 15rd capacity 10mm,and the Glocks are one of the few pistols that they suggest shooting 10mm through (they are almost the same as a .41magnum)! But like I said,I went with the Para-Ordnance for a highcap .45. Never had a baby eagle, but have heard good things.

Like I said in the beginning, SO MANY GUNS SO LITTLE MONEY, I would like to stay inside the $500 range, which is why I'm not really not looking at the Para( but I'd get it in a heart beat if I could. I've heard a lot of good about the LDAs, and I'm used to that type of trigger. Damn now another I have to think about.
