Went to the range today with the GI Springfield. I shot 1 box of Winchester 185 gr Target loads that I got on sale the other day. Accurate at 25 yards, no FTF or FTE's in the box. This pistol eats everything I have given it. They are a deal at $400 !!!!! I have never owned a 1911 that was this functional. Slide was very tight so I lubed it well and it has yet to fail. :2guns:

What bullet shape were the target loads?

I don't know the style of bullet other than is was like a semi wadcutter but exactly. Does this mumbo jumbo help? They were the white box Winchester 185 gr target loads. I don't even know the fps of them. I think I will go to the website and see if there is any more info. :usa:

They consider the bullet a FMJ flat nose Winchester .45 acp Target Loads (http://www.winchester.com/products/catalog/handgundetail.aspx?symbol=USA45A&cart=NDUgQXV0b21hdGlj)

That's the same performance I am getting from mine.... No FTE or FTF's yet. The pistol is new and tight - I just keep it lubed and it keeps on shooting. At 25 yards I can keep the bowling pins dancing. :2guns:

The more I shoot it the more I like it. :D

Thanks for your report, Gossman. Let us know if any problems arise and I will do the same.
