Official Perfect Union Shooting Contest

Ok guys. The snow and Ice is melting, the grass is starting to grow, and great spring weather is here. We have been cooped up all winter, now its time to go to the range, or shooting area to check out the mods we did this winter.

Beginning April 1 we will have the official shooting contest!
There is a major difference this year:

Each shooting period has been increased from monthly to quarterly. April-June, July-Sept., Oct-Dec. This gives each shooter 3 months to shoot & post a target. This will eliminate the excuses we had and the poor showing we had last year.

So pick your class, get some ammo, and stand by for some fun.

You lurkers, quit lurking, and sign up. This contest will make all of us a better shooter. I don't care how well you used to shoot, with out practice you will get worse. So grab your Mini-14 or Mini-30, and join in and have a blast! :D

I am new to this Mini thing but I'm in for the Shooting contest.
As soon as I get her back from my Smith which will be next Saturday.
So me and juliet as I call her are in.

Cajun.... I'm not sure if this has been gone over, (prolly has), but, what distance are we firing from??? I plan on shooting prone, off of sandbags, iron sights (I'm not gonna waste my ammo with the red dot till I get rid of the Aimtech rail)...

The official Rules for each class will be posted on or before April 1. I can say for iron sights, or non magnif. Red dots, range is 50 yds. Scope mini's 100 yds.

No rule as yet limits a mini's barrel type, or length.

I have already selected the targets, and you will like them. They are fun targets not like any we've used before. Standby.

Can you enter more than 1 class? IE, can I enter the scoped competion, then pull off my scope and do 50yrds on the iron sights with the same rifle?

You can enter as many as you qualify for, then pick up your 10/22 , and come over to our 10/22 forum, and enter all them too if you want! :D

The contest has begun. Go to your class rules sticky, read the rules, and use the target posted. I believe you will find the contest not only challenging, but fun. You can even score with 7" groups with this target, but 3 1/2" groups or better will double your score. :D

I'm giving you guys a head start. I have a party this weekend. We are having 1,200 lbs of crawfish, with all the trimmings at the Yacht Club. I may not be able to walk after this. :blink:
