View Full Version : Custom Class Target Challenge
I stood it as long as I could. Its been windy for days on end now and I finaly said to heck with it. I've been working up some handloads for the Mini-14 and while the barrel cools I do some serrious 10/22 shooting to fill in the time. This target that Habanero first posted has got me hooked. I've shot a lot of bullits at this one and it's tough. This is probably one of the best I've scored, but I'm not sure just how it should be scored. In the black is definatly a zero. But the shots that are on the line between scoring rings, how should they be counted? I'm shooting these at 50 yds. 10 shots for a possible 100 points. Scoring the shots that get a little bit of the line to the next higher ring gives this one a 78. Hows that sound? The way the range down here is set up we have a tail wind basicly right now but kind'a left to right and it was gusting to 20 when this was shot. But watch out now I head spaced the bolt today and with a little luck these groups will get better...... rutro! B)

Rutro, we must be on the same wave length. I was also working up a mini-14 load http://www.perfectunion.com/forums/index.p...?showtopic=9242 (http://www.perfectunion.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9242) it was also windy from 7:00, and just head spaced my bolt. See results http://www.perfectunion.com/forums/index.p...?showtopic=9243 (http://www.perfectunion.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9243)
In the black is definatly a zero. But the shots that are on the line between scoring rings, how should they be counted? If a round touches a line it counts as the higher score. If a round touches the black it counts as 0. I see your score as 85 points.
I didn't get a chance to shoot this one today, but I will next time.
I believe the next oficial shooting contest is comming real soon! :D
Cajungeo I think great minds think alike, I think..... anyway if you say 85 so be it, I've been dislexic since before there was a word for it, especialy with the numbers. It's definitly time for an offical shooting contest so let's shoot. :D
