Anybody own a Springfield XD pistol?

I bought one. The XD-9. My very first polymer handgun, and 9mm. Took it out the other day and I was very impressed. I've always been a 1911 owner and I never gave the XD or the Glock a second look. For some reason I asked to see one the other day and ended up buying it. I'm glad I did! ;)

At a pistol class the other day an older gentleman brought one to train with. No hiccups and VERY accurate at the 25 foot line. Lots of big holes in a 2-3 inch cirle offhand. And he was a beginner. :D

I am shooting the XD-40 5 inch and really really like it! Went from a 1911 to this and my IDPA scores are climbing rapidly. It's so simple, pull it, shoot it, put it away. The steel mag bodies in the plastic frame ensures mags drop free. A quality plastic holster for your quality plastic gun makes a sweet combo. I second that HS2000 site - is great. :D

I've had one now for almost a year. Great gun so far. I'm not the greatest marksman, but I can hit what I want at 50 yds fairly consistantly.

I bought a XD-40 a couple of days ago.Haven't had a chance to do any shooting with it yet.I'm really impressed on how easy it is to dis-assemble and assemble.I'm in the process now of trying to find a good holster for it. :D :D

My buddy bought an XD-9 sub off a local guy the other day. He had a Sidearmor IWB holster he was willing to part with as well. It is for the 4" model. He was asking $50 for it. If you are interested, I can put you in touch with him. Post back or shoot me a PM.

In regards to the XD line of pistolas....very nice. About a month or so ago, I rented one and was very accurate with it. Moreso, than with the Glock 27 I own. After seeing that XD my buddy recently bought I have gotten the bug to sell my 27 and get an XD, and use the extra $$ to put towards a Para Carry 12.45. Or maybe skip the Para and grab an AK, I'm undecided.

Either way, the XD is nice and you won't be disappointed. There is 1 complaint amongs the XD owners and that is the poor finish on the slides. Apparently you should plan on getting it refinished in the future, unless you get the stainless one.
