Nice setup. How is that riser mount working for you? It's not too high is it? Can you still use the irons pretty well? Seems handier than using tall see through scope rings.
btw; I thought I was the only person that used duffle bag straps as slings!

 hahaha... busted! well, I guess your not the only1. I really like the little swivle end it has, cuz it helps out with transoportation. Thats soo funny you noticed though. Also, the mount is rock solid, and detaches very easy/fast: letting you use the irons with no probs. The mount actually seems lower than the mini14 side mount, so nah, not too high. One of those ITC railrest's would fit nicely here though.
I used to have almost the exact same swivel/clip "sling" on my Maadi. Works perfect on an AK. I'm pretty sure that's standard issue for the Walmart militia. I had to replace the original sling becasue it was BRIGHT TURQUOISE, and had a bunch of steel wool/abrasive twine embedded in the canvas. Ouch.
Anyhow, I like that scope setup. Quick detach is always a plus for me, especially with the cheap scopes I top off my .22's with. (never know when the scope will decide to fail) Plus it looks better than those see through rings with the giant loops they sit on. :sniper:

Welcome to the forum Dusty. Nice looken setup you have there. I took mine out this week end to the range. A friend just bought one, and wanted to see a couple of different set ups. I could tell he has the mod bug real bad! Just like the rest of us.

btw... this scope is coming off 1'st thing tomorrow. red dots are awsome, this 1 just doesnt fit right.

Thanks for the updated pics. Why dosn't the RedDot fit? I may be getting my old pre-ban folder back today, and was thinking of mounting a Red dot on it.
I think I like your folding stock better than mine. Mine is a Ramline.

hah, it doesnt fit because I'm perrty dumb :P . I went over to wally world and was bored, so I decided "hey, why not get a red dot since your here" like a dummy. The problem was, I didnt even pay attention that it wasnt made for 1" rails. It was made for air guns, paintball guns with the smaller rail sizes. Anyway, I already took it back, went to a "real" gun shop and got the 1" rail version of it ;) . So now we're good to go
got any pix of that ramline? post post!!
edit* I edited my last post. That's the right scope now :D
