CAI on top, all SA with a Breda barrel. Good shooter! Ya I know, bought it before I knew any better. On the bottom, " Original, As Issued " SA # 35158XX. I bought it from the GI who carried it in the PTO.
Oh ya! Two cases of LC surplus from CMP.

Just added a third brother to the collection. The bottom one is a 5.4 SG SA from CMP.

Great looking M1s.
Just curious, have you ever had any trouble out of the CAI rifle?
I ask because I have one that shoots well and runs perfectly. Everyone tells me they stink but I have yet to find someone who owns one and hates it or has had serious problems with it. Mine is mostly SA and Beretta parts- great cond.
So far, the only folks I know who actually have one, say the same thing as me; I know it's not worth as much as a "real" GI rifle but it works fine and was what I could aford at the time, etc.
Good shooting.

Lexington,
Have had my CAI M1 for a couple years now. Close to 800, 900 rounds and no trouble at all. It's not my most accurate rifle but it always runs good. Century Arms has a bad reputation for poor QC, being way out of specs. I bought it before I knew any better but for what I paid I could have had a CMP racker, real USGI. Good to use in HighPower matches just not in a JCG match or at Perry. I could have done worse, however, I could have done MUCH better too!
Just MHO,
