I just bought a great looking thumbhole carbine stock and forend from gunstocks.com, I have a problem locating the forend holes. Where should I put the forend holes to accomidate most types of barrels. I know that there are different locations of forend screws on bull and octagon barrels, not sure what the other configurations are. I don't own an actual carbine barrel and not sure I will, I am getting my 14" 7tcu rechambered to 7mm belm and a brake added to make it legal by Belm.
Does the 14" barrel have the same screw location as the factory carbine barrel? I want to set up my forend to use any barrel I might use in the future and don't want to have multiple holes in my forend.
