View Full Version : M1 bolt
Has anyone stripped down a M1 bolt and put one back together with just two hands? It took me several hours with two hands then I had to call my wife into the fracas. Four sets of fingers, an empty .06 case, two screwdrivers, and several naughty word's and it was together. I almost went to look up a retired WW2 vet to assist me. Just wanted to know, am I the only one with this difficulty? :usa:

Yes. I have had the same problem until I bought the tool from Fulton Armory. It is so easy now and it is well worth $49. Give it a try. Fulton Armory (http://www.fulton-armory.com/) :2guns:
Thanks for the info. Talked to a vet this weekend who lived with a Garand in Korea. He never pulled the bolt apart. Now he wants my "Korean Vet" Garand. :o
Here you go, step by step instructions. Hope you have a tough thumb...

Pretty good link to the CMP. I know its been since last spring when I was at the range during the Garand shoot and I have the tool because its easier on the fingers. They are some good people up there. I hope to be able to return to Camp Perry again this year and get some more lead into Lake Erie. Last year we had someone drive their boat into the firing range area. It throughs a wrench into the whole works. What a bone head. :ar15: One of my sites that is gun related (http://groups.msn.com/SecondAmendmentfriendswithguns-/_whatsnew.msnw)
