View Full Version : New Barrel
I was just wondering what you guys/gals do with your barrel that your not using. I bought a TC Encore 223 with a 26" heavy barrel. Needless to say - if I knew what I was doing - I would of purchased the frame and then did what I did with the barrel. I purchased a full 1" x 20" bull barrel from Fred at Bullberry plus the forearm. Now I have the 26" heavy to either keep or get rid of. Do you folks keep your around to use later or what??

Well Coyote that is kind of a tricky question.
First of all if you do not want the barrel anylonger, advertise it on one of the several classifieds. Seems like T/C shooters are constantly buying / selling / trading barrels.
Otherwise if you are interested in a different cartridge that would use the same bore diameter, just send it off to have it rechambered. Rechambering a .223 to a .22-250 will provide you with a new Chamber and Throat if you are not pleased with the factory chamber or throat.
If you do not like the barrel due to its configuration (too long or too heavy), have it shortened or recontoured.
There are a lot of options available,

Well sold the barrel. Had someone want it to re-barrel it out to a different round. Worked for me - worked for them. I am just a person that does not like to have barrels - or guns laying around not being used. Now I have only 3 more months to wait for the bullberry barrel. (sigh)

You'll love the quality of the Bullberry barrel. I have a 10 inch bull handgun barrel in .44 mag that shoots moa.
