I've been shooting once a week lately, and get "lucky" targets like this one a couple times a day. I think my strategy is going to be that I am going to start shooting only sub sonic ammo, hoping that the lower velocity ammo will gain some accuracy.
Dang fine shooting TRDslinger.... That ain't luck my friend, that's skill...
Looks like I'm gonna have to practice more to catch up with you & Cajun..
I think the sub sonics are a little more accurate. Most of your .22 match ammo is slower than the speed of sound, I've been told that when a bullet breaks the sound barrier the shock wave will throw the bullet off just a tad.

The subsonics are usually more accurate in .22's. The ammount of powder is usually loaded more exactly in the subsonics also. It is not when the bullet breaks the sound barrier that throws it off. Its when the bullet transitions from supersonic to subsonic. The shockwave then catches up and hits the bullet and causes it to loose its stability.
I'v experienced this when shooting .308's at 1,000 yards. The 168 grain rounds transition to subsonic at around 850 yards and accuracy goes to hell at 1,000. The 175 grain rounds maintain supersonic past 1,000 yards so accuracy is better with them at long range.
Oh, by the way, good shooting Trdslinger

Slinger, this is very close. :o It looks like it will be decided by group size this month ;) I don't mind getting beat by a better shooter, as it makes me kick it up a notch. But then it ain't over yet grasshopper. :P

Well there is still 2 weekends left for me to tighten up that group. I purchased about $160.00 worth of ammo last night and today, so I'm gonna have some fun. I got 22 boxes of 3 different types of Aguila, 9 boxes of CCI green tags, and 2 boxes of CCI subsonics. I still have 4 boxes of the CCI mini-mag that I shot this December target with, and I got a 550 rd box of Winchester Xpert 22 ammo. Hope my printer doesn't run out of ink, I'm gonna need a bunch of targets :D

Slinger can you measure your group size center to center? Alt method measure total group size, and subract .220". Need to know if I need to get back to the range or not.

Total group size using outside edges of bullet holes farthest apart is 22/32", which is .6875", and then subtracting .220 makes the center to center group size you are asking for .4675".
