:o
I just bought a new Encore in .223Rem. I have one question. Can you get barrels for rim fire rounds? If so how will the firing pin be correct?

Thanks

Yes you can get rim fire barrels. 22 - 17 ect. BUT you will have to purchase a rimfire adapter for your unit.

The Encore rimfire adapter is a replacement breech plug for the Encore frame that temporarily replaces the original plug that holds the firing pin. Our breech plug has a special angled firing pin that puts the indent on the bottom of the 22 LR or 22 Winchester Magnum barrel breech. Bottom ignition is generally not found on a USA made rimfire firearm, but is quite common on high-dollar European target guns. Bottom ignition is more uniform in ignition performance as it is always "in the powder." Top ignition is spread over the powder charge, in a random manner, depending on how the powder is situated in the cartridge at the moment of firing.

It can be purchased from http://www.bullberry.com/rimfire.html

How do you like the .223 encore. I just bought one and what a shooter. Love it and man at 100 yards.........YIKE........just a paper shooter for me...but took out a fly sitting on my target. Luck - oh ya - and don't ask me to do it again - but my partner was sure impressed when I told him I was going to shoot that fly on my target - and did .....LOL....lots of luck.........

<_<
Just picked it up today.
I haven't had a chance to even get it out to the range yet due to the large amount of rain :(

Can't wait to get it out!

Thanks for the info!

aw...so you have the handgun....I saw frow BullBerry a 20" Bull. Man that looked nice. Wish I would of just bought the frame and then got a barrel from him. I like the short heavy look. In guns..not women...lol......But I have ordered a forearm in the 2" target, so will have to keep the heavy 26". Take a look at this Encore....I love it....Its not a 223 but I still the looks of the rifle.....as always...if i had it to do over again........

It is a very nice gun. I do not have the rifle but the handgun.
I took it out shooting this morning, just plinking around. I do like it very much but would like to have a longer forearm on it.I would also like to put a scope on it. How hard is it to put a scope on? <_<
I haven't really checked out too much on what I can do to personalize it.

I'd like to keep it as a handgun but improve it to take it out coyote hunting.

If its drilled for the scope go for it. If not - find a good gun smith and he can do that. Drilling hole is not something for the untrained to do......loop sided scope.

Again...Check this address for the forearm.........he will make what you want.....
12 weeks to get it - but worth the wait.

Hey..i knew it was a hand gun........15".....you should try a full 15" long 1" bull barrel on that. Would take both hands to lift the dang thing. But would be great shooter............
