Here is the Final Standing for 2003 10/22 Shooting Champ - Custom Class.

To the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place shooters in the Scope Class, "Good shooten!" Please update your signature to reflect your achievement.

I was surprised and disappointed in the participation in this contest. I am sure the results would have been much different with more shooters entering. I do want to thank the members that took some time to enter.

I learned much from this contest in my own personal marksmanship. The main thing is how you used to shoot, is different than how you shoot today! Things change over time. Skills tend to go downhill quickly without practice. Practice is something all of us need more of, whether we are hunters, or using our equipment and skills in self-defense. Without practice we will be nothing more than plinkers. Plinking is ok for fun, but I always felt that guns are tools, and an extension of ourselves. If I may borrow a phrase from our Army brothers; Be all you can be! This fits with ones abilities in all areas of our lives.

I hope all of you have a Happy, Prosperous, and Safe New 2004 Year!!!! I hope along with your other New Year's Resolutions, you will think about shooting more and improving your shooting skills. One day your life may depend on it.

I have cancelled the Shooting contest until more interest is shown. Till then you may post any target (Objects, or paper targets) in this section or make any comment such as range reports etc.

Sorry for the graphics. If you see an error please PM me.

It pained me to post these results, as I felt the best shooter was Carni, as he has blown away the competition each time he entered. I feel no satisfaction in this win, and would have been happier with a solid 2nd place. I know what I will have to work on this year to be a better competitor.

I went to the range with my newly assembled A & B with silhouette stock. It shoots as well as the Green Mountain with Dynapoints except it was harder to stabilize in the bench rest, because of the stock. I then shot 50 yds offhand on the lowest setting 6x. I was lucky to hit the paper with all the movement. For shooting offhand I need a much lower powered scope. My next purchase possibly a 2-7x? And practice, practice. :ar15:

Can't believe I came in 3rd overall, after I didn't even have a chance to shoot in just about 4 months, that's kinda funny... :D

Cajun, don't feel bad about winning. You deserve it, because you participated every month since we started it!! I mean, winning the annual part of the contest isn't just about being the best shooter. It's also about bringing in results every month. You were the only one that accomplished that. I'll take my hat off for you any day.

Gentlemen, it's been a pleasure and I hope that at some point I'll be able to enter another contest with all of you.

Safe shooting everyone!!

Cajun, I'll definitely keep posting my targets. That is if I ever get out to that range again... :(
