Very nice10/22 Bummy. Have you had a chance to find the ammo it likes best? I'm ordering some different ones this week to try. I shot in my first match 2 weeks ago. I came in 5th. A little tuning may get me there. Enter our shooting contest. It will help you see what works best, and what needs to be better.
The best I can do is 3/4" @ 50 yrds with federal 710
Mini Mags will do that some times. Out of 10 10 rounds groups 3 or 4 are 3/4" the rest are way off up to 1 1/2"

Nice looking 10/22 you got there. As far as accuracy, do you have the stock beaded? Is the barrel free floated? Try experimenting with shims at the very end of the stock and the barrel to dampen harmonics. Check to see if your bolt face is square. If its way off you might need to send it out to CPC to get it squared and headspaced. Nice looking stick -Carnifex :sniper:
Nice!
That looks like some kind of different trigger guard? What is it?

Carnifex is correct about free floating the barrel, and bedding the stock first. Then tuning the harmonics of the barrel can be as simple as a piece of cardbd under the barrel. Course you are shooting 10 shot groups. Most of our contests have been with 5 shot groups, which are smaller than 10 shot groups.

the trigger guard Is stock. Must Just Be the angle or poor photo that makes it look different.
The barrel is floated but the stock is not bedded.
As for the shims at do they go at the tip of the forearm? How much pressure on the barrel?

Bedding your stock will tighten your groups. I experimented with different shim thickness. I could not improve over a piece of the cardboard from an empty shotgun box. Loosen take down screw slide cardboard in, and then tighten screw. You will have to experiment with yours. It may change if you change ammo. That's why I made an adjustable tuner.

How did you make an adjustable tunner?
