Rules for November Shooting Contest - Standard barrel w/peep/iron sights:
I had some very close competition last month. Some of you are really into the mods, which make your rifles more accurate. Now dig a little deeper and hone you’re shooting skills. See if you can beat Cajun's Quick & Dirty 10/22. Now maybe the Cajun has more tricks up his sleeve. :D
1. Use this target only. We all must use the same target.
http://www.protargets.com/targets/one-inch...ch-center-3.gif (http://www.protargets.com/targets/one-inch-center-3.gif)
2. 25 yds.
3. 5 shots per target
4. To save computer space please post 1 target per shooter each month. You can edit, and upgrade your target, or delete, and repost with a better group on your thread only. If you delete the first post of a thread all attached posts will disappear.
5. Count total points (50 pts possible), and write date, distance, and total points on target. As in the Gallery the Shooter will own that thread. 1 thread only per member please.
6. PBS members only. For family members or friends to enter, they must first register, and become members. (They don't have to be the owner of rifle)
7. I will verify most deadly target, High score wins. In the event of a tie, tightest group wins. The shooter of the most deadly target will be named PBS SHOOTING CHAMPION of THE MONTH - Standard 10/22 class
8. Each month the title is up for grabs, as long as the interest is there.
9. Standard barrel Ruger 10/22, and 10/22 WMR using iron/red dot sights only (Sorry no scopes), compete on even terms, no other rifles please.
10. Mods such as trigger jobs, stock bedding etc ok, as long as barrel is a std. Ruger barrel
11. I reserve the right to change the rules as needed.
12. Gentlemen, and Ladies, this is on your honor. Good luck, and good shooting.
Posting Tip: If you place a piece of colored paper behind target when scanning, The holes will be more visible. We must be able to see the holes!
So your 10/22 shoots a larger group than someone else has posted how can I compete? I encourage you to post anyway. You can compete with yourself each time you shoot. Do some simple mods on your rifle (the how to is here in this forum). Read up on shooting techniques. This attitude will make you a better shooter tomorrow than you are today; this will make everyone a winner! A better shooter equals a better target shooter, a better hunter, or a better defender.
Safety First: Above all, use eye, and hearing protection. Remember to unload rifle, lock bolt to rear, and use safety before going down range. Don't forget to watch the little kids looking at your rifle while you’re down range. Be safe above all else.
Each Month Start a new thread with a new target. I will retire your last months thread. This will be for determining Champion Shooter of the Year!
Good Shooting, and Good Luck!
