B) I'm trying to identify a used revolver I just bought. Its a 22lr & 22mag combo, single action,Colt style. It is very good quality. The frame & cylinder are both marked "H S". Barrel is stamped "Sierra Six".It is made in West Germany.Imported by Sportsarms 0f Miami Fl.Its also stamped "86",which I believe to be the year.If any of you have or know of this pistol please let me know, thanks. :sniper:

It is probably a Herbert Schmidt. The company unfortunately is no longer in business. But they are superb guns.

High Standard would not have been a German Import most likely.

Herbert Schmidt made two different frame sized guns. TTBOMK, both were single action.

Here's a shot of my Herbert Schmidt 357 Magn (as they abreviated it) from before German Partition, possibly even pre-WWII.

most high standards had the full name on them not just H S. "sierra six" is what made me say high standard. i have an old harrington & richards 676, 22, convertible and a friend of mine had a "sierra six" which was a far better revolver than mine. he would not trade with me and then sold the gun to somebody else.
