Had a good time at the new range today. Spent 6 hrs shooting several rifles, talking, and eating. Changed my shooting style. It improved my groupage a bunch. This was my last & best effort.

Got invited to enter a 10/22 match next sat. I may not win, but will learn, and have some fun. Come on guys, still a couple of weeks left.
Shot this group using Winchester 45 grn at 100 yds.

Come on guys, don't let me win by default. There is still a couple of weeks left.

Great looking group cajungeo. It sounds like you're getting along well at your new range.

Good shooting

Thanks Bushwack. The facility is nice for the shooters, but it has no club house nor even a soda mach. I brought a cooler. It works for me.

nice shootin', do you hand load your rounds or shoot store bought?
I enjoy hand loading myself and play with the different bullet weights and powder combos. My mini is my fun gun for this reason, trying to take a not so accurate gun and with miner cost to shoot groups like yours!! :usa:

Hey tri. I didn't have any reloads ready. I shot with 45 gr. Winchester Varmint. I shoot average groups of 1.5" with them. My 63 grn Seria Sp average 1.1". For some reason something changed, & balloned groups up to 3". Since I take my rifle apart many times a week in researching questions. I figured my bedding was worn out. So I rebedded it. No diff. Regaped, and torqued gas block, cleaned barrel, examined crown. No diff. Best group out of about 100 rnd since August was about 2 1/2". One my last 15 rounds. I grabed the fore stock, with my left hand instead of under the butt piece. Groups really tightened up. So I'm back in the groove. Will cook up some of my reloads to see how they do. I believe the rubber Hogue stock dosen't release from the shooting rest consistantly. Holding on to the forestock stabelizes it better.

Thanks Pdaddy. My 196 Ranch has a 9-1 rifling.
