View Full Version : Cheetah's shooter
alright, as you guys will all notice almost instantly..its nothin special, only thing thats not stock is the scope, and thats not all too great lol. just got it a few days ago and im hopin to customize it. all the options are kinda mind boggling , couldnt ever find that many customizations for my other rifles. anyone have any suggestions let me know. i'm thinkin a new stock for sure and prolly somethin to reduce the trigger pull a little bit, and i'm hopin for a compact scope instead of my massive weaver.

Welcome to the forum Cheetah.
As you already mentioned there are many ways to trick out your 10/22. Before getting a new stock you might want to consider if you are going to get a bull match barrel in the near future if so you might want to get the stock to fit the .920" barrel.
There are still several things you can do to improve your std. 10/22's accuracy. Such as: installing a Weapon Kraft bolt buffer, pitching the Ruger scope mount, and replace it with a Weaver T0-9 mount, and weaver style rings (you can‘t do better than Burris Signature zee rings with inserts), trigger job, removing the barrel band, free floating your barrel, and stock bedding its all do it yourself.
Warning customizing the 10/22 is highly addictive. As you change its performance, and looks, it’s very hard to stop. ;)
yeah, i've been curious about bedding and free-floating. i've seen it on here quite a bit but have no clue what they are. i think i have a better idea about free floating but i'm clueless on bedding...thanks for the advice though

welcome aboard Cheetah! your in for something special and fun when you get around to workin on that shooter. these guys are the greatest for help and so on. so many options and where do you start? HAHAHA. enjoy pard!
All of them are special because it's yours and we live in a country that still permits the private ownership of firearms. Welcome to the forum. You'll find there are more ways to dress-up a 10/22 than you can shake a stick at. And I can shake a stick. :D The options are limitless and everyone has their own preference.

thanks cajungeo, i'd really appreciate a how to, see if its worth the effort..lol. i probly wont be shooting it too much, on rare weekends mostly. i'm thinking about a few upgrades soon, just cheap ones like extended mag release and auto bolt-release. guess we'll see how it ends up..thanks for the support guys.
