If you are tired of fumbling with the "Bolt Release" to get the bolt to go home try this easy mod.
After buying 2 Volquartsen Auto bolt releases from Midway, for about $10 each, I compared it with the std. bolt release. It dawned on me how simple it would be to make one, after reading Nimrod’s post. If you have a dremmel & stone bit, or can borrow one, it is easy to turn your 2 handed fumbler bolt release into an "Auto Bolt Release". Just clamp into a vise, and grind out the hart shape to an oval like the bolt release on the left. Then deburr the rough edges.
To operate reach fwd, with a finger, pull back the cocking handle & let go. The bolt will fly home.
Don't forget to wear Safety Glasses! I made one for my brother, and it works great. Good luck.
