thank you TheGermanGuy, my first attempt at messin with a 10/22. and the groups shown in this picture are typical somewhat. i havnt worked on it in a month now i guess, when i get more time i will see what i can do to accurize it more, it is still not bedded in the stock. one thing for sure tho, it is deadly on groundsquirrels hahaha. oh i almost forgot , the object in the upper left is a nickel for comparison.

Hey bentbarrel. Is that the same coating you put on your mini? Looks good!
I noticed the 7:00 flyer on each group. It is typical on a semi auto for the first round to be a flyer, as the first round is manually seated into the chamber while subsequent rounts are recoil seated. Solution is to Burn 1st round off target. Take mag out reload 1 round leaving 1 recoil loaded in the chamber. Then fire group into target. Some barrels are worse than others.

Damn!
That's some good looking groups either way! Next time you go to the rangge take our shooting contest target with you and put some prints on that. Even if you don't win, it'll be good for you. If nothing else, it'll be something to improve upon. That's how I look at it. :D

Glad I'm not a squirrel!!! :D

Bent Barrel-
I really like this rifle of yours;
1) did you ever get around to bedding it? If not are you straining the reciever? cracking yet?
2) where do you get the duracoat for the stock finish. Is it rough? do you like it that way now that you have had it for a while?
3) what about a cheek rest? Do you feel like you need one?
4) ever put that 16 inch on a chrony to see what you are getting?
:lol: ;) ;) ;)
man- I want to get out into the woods and shoot some tree rats soon, therapy for a grumpy mind!
