I know I know, its the first of the month and I got a target posted already :D There was a lot of wind and I had to take my time and shoot a lot of sighters. Hopefully we can get some more entries this month. All of you lurkers out there sign up and shoot gosh dangit! That goes for all the people that are members too. Find the time to go and shoot. Thanks. I was using a Hart bunny ear rear bag with a home made sandbag upfront and a sandsock (literaly sand in a sock) to support my shooting hand and hold it up to the grip of the rifle better. My birthday is coming up in a few days so I think I'm going to get myself a Witchita rest with some of the money. I also worked on trueing my bolt up before I went out and shot that target. It seemed to help alot. I still might send it into CPC though.
Now nobody's gonna enter this month either! Ya'll should enter no matter what! Just practice practice practice and you will get better. The shooting lessons I'v got from my friend and his rifle coach have helped a lot. If you find you arnt getting good groups, change your position, how much pressure you put on the rifle in your should or with your grip. Just make shure to keep the same setup with the group your shooting, as the smallest change in pressure or position will screw up the group you are on. Well I gotta run, good luck all -Carnifex

Thats outstanding Carnifex. I posted mine today. Nothing near yours though. I do need to order some match bullets. The dynapoints will shoot some good groups, but a flyer once in a while. They sound diff. A couple of flyers out of 25 will blow your average.

You should look at shooting competetion.

Next year we will earn points as we compete, and earn Rank. Starting as plinkers, Marksman, SharpShooter, Expert, and Master. Jump in no mater what your skills are. Thats the only way you will improve.

That was some amazing shooting. Forget about golf. I know you were going to the state championships with your team, but you might wanna think about also joining your school's shooting team. Dang me!!
