October - Rules for Scoped Mini's

1. Use this target only it is 6" wide, with 1" bull. We all must use the same target.
http://www.protargets.com/targets/one-inch...ch-center-2.gif (http://www.protargets.com/targets/one-inch-center-2.gif)
2. 100 yds.
3. 5 shots per target
4. To save computer space please post 1 target per shooter. You can either edit, and upgrade your target, or delete, and repost with a better group on this thread only. If you delete the first post of a thread all attached posts will dissapear.
5. Write total score on target. Add numbers, the bull counts 10. A hit on a line counts as the higher number. 50 is a perfect score. As in the Gallery the Shooter will own that thread. 1 thread only per member please. Please write on target Points, Date, Distance/Class
6. PERFECT UNION members only. For family members or friends to enter, they must first register, and become members. ( they don't have to be the owner of rifle)
7. I will verify most deadly target, i.e. highest score, or in event of a tie, the tightest group. The shooter of the most deadly target will be named PERFECT UNION MINI SHOOTING CHAMPION of THE MONTH-SCOPE CLASS
8. Each month the title is up for grabs, as long as the interest is there.
9. Scoped Mini-14, and Mini-30 compete on even terms, no other rifles please.
10. I reserve the right to change the rules as needed.
11. Gentelmen, and Ladies, this is on your honor. Good luck, and good shooting.

So your mini shoots 5 " groups, how can I compete with 2" groups? I encourage you to post anyway. You can compete with yourself each time you shoot. Do some simple mods on your mini (the how to is here in this forum). Read up on shooting techniques. This attitude will make you a better shooter tommorrow than you are today, this will make everyone a winner!. A better shooter equals a better hunter, or a better defender. Above all, use eye, and hearing protection. Remember to unload rifle, lock bolt to rear, and use safety before going down range. Be safe above all else.

Each Month Start a new thread with a new target. I will retire your last months thread. This will be for determining Champion Shooter of The Year!

Ok guys, and gals. We had some good shooten last month, but most would probably agree we could do better. Certainly more of you can enter. I know every one has times they are too buisy, but all it takes is 1 hour a month to find some time to shoot. The more you practice the better you will become. It will show in the improvement of your scores. We have a new target so make sure you use it instead of left over Sept. targets.

A heads up, for everyone. Beginning this month The Shooting Champ of the Year will be determined by a point system (details later). A shooter gets points for entering, and additional points for placing in the top 3 spots. We have 4 months left in 2003. Just entering will have its reward. So get in there have some fun, and shoot! :rapid: :ar15:

Lurkers, quit lurking, signup. We won't bite, I promise. ;)

The SHOOTING CHAMP OF THE YEAR will be determined as follows:

1. Each shooter will get 5 pts for entering contest that month.
2. 1st Place shooter of the month earns an additional 10 pts.
3. 2nd Place shooter of the month earns an additional 5 pts.
4. 3rd Place shooter of the month earns an additional 2 pts.
5. SHOOTING CHAMP OF THE YEAR is the shooter with highest number of points at the years end. 4 months this year. 60 points possible.

Simple! It won't take up much of your time, but you have to enter. A little extra effort will pay off, and as you do the math a consistant effort will payoff even more.

You don't have to be a citizen of the U.S. This is a world wide title up for grabs. This is for members of the Perfect Union - Mini's only! So lurkers sighn up, and get in on the fun. :rapid: :ar15:

Cajun,
I have just printed out some of the official targets, and will get to the range as soon as possible. I also just purchased a digital camera, so I can post some pic's of my rifle and what it (or I) can do. I just want to say again, this is a great forum, and you and all the other members do offer some great info. BTW- I am tooling up for a new style barrel stabilizer, and on paper it looks very promising, as far as modulus of elasticity, moment of inertia, etc. If it works as well as I hope it will, I will post schematics and instructions for all to use. Just think "barrel tensioning",and you are in the ball park of my design.
Thanks again,
Carlo :sniper:

I hope you didn't get the targets from this last years contest. :( The current Series 3 is above in a sticky.
