It has a homemade tripod that I think is more stable than a bipod. The sling ataches under the tripod which folds up parallel to the barell for carying and storage. It attaches in the same maner as the Haris bipod.

As soon as I can get back on the range Im up for it if the target will just catch tthe rounds where it is suposed to. :blink:

The early Mini 14s came with the wood hand guards. I'm not sure when they changed, but I don't think Ruger made them more than a couple of years.
