How do I remove the residue and not my blueing? What solvents? :cannon:

sometimes letting soak in hopps #9 will lift it off a little easier. i have been warned not to soak a plated weapon in #9 but never a problem with blued weapons. try coating it before you shoot it with something that won't burn off. teflon or silicon spray lube might do. try it.
good luck!
CLP Breakfree works well at removing powder residue and does not harm any finish.
Although I haven't tried the following myself (yet) I keep hearing that cleaning with Kroil will make the cleanup after the next shooting session much easier. Can't seem to find it locally, so I really need to place a order sometime soon. I'm on Kano Labs mailing list, but just haven't put down any money yet.

i like kroil, they make it with graphite in it too, great for sliding parts, dries and leaves graphite residue.

Ed's Red works for me.
Equal parts of Acetone, Kerosene, Odorless Mineral Spirits and ATF. :D
Cheaper by the gallon.
Mule
any good cleaner will remove powder residue. Unless your pistol is really dirty you shouldn't have to soak. Use a dental pick to get the little nooks.
Metal fouling (copper, lead) is another story. I use Butch's Bore Shine. If your barrel or any parts are stainless don't let any amonia based cleaner sit on the stainless for long periods as the amonia will etch it.
A good all aroung cleaner lubricant preservative is Clenzoil - best I have ever used. Go to Clenzoil (http://www.clenzoil.com)
