Garand Receiver

I am new to this posting so please be gentle with this newbie. I am looking for some assistance in purchasing a Springfield Armory Garand receiver between a serial# 263xxxx to 272xxxx. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Just curious why one made in summer of 41? Pre war are fairly difficult to find to begin with. CMP to my knowledge doesn't sell receivers or rifles by serial number except when they auction a specific rifle, action or receiver. I guess you could call the major dealers to see what they have in their inventories or put a Want to Buy post on one of the Garand sites such as Culvers Shooting Page www.jouster.com Good Luck

Sorry didn't read it correctly with the additional x it is 44 which should be easier to find. Funny how one x converts to two million more rifles produced.
