I bought a Browning 1895 in .30-06 because the price was so good. I wasn't even imagining I needed one of these but you learn something new every day! This is the 1980s (made in Japan) reproduction of the Winchester 1895.

I kind of bought it with the intention of having it rebarreled or rebored to .338-06 or .35 Whelen. I'm not likely to bump into any critters that won't fall to the .30-06, though.
I really want an original piece in .30 Gov't or a Russian contract Musket in 7.62x54R. The Russians are really tough to find in any presentable condition.
