First custom rifle I ever put together myself.
It was a real joy to put together and its unbeatable at the range ;) . (Im gonna start competing after my next trip to the range so look out.)
Parts List:
-Adams and Bennet barrel fluted 18'' barrel, Polished before it was ever shot.
-Houge stock
-BSA 4-16x40 scope
-Power custom hammer and sear kit
-VQ auto bolt release
-Extended mag release
-Bolt Buffer
Thats it, no new trigger, no bedding, and it didn't end up needing a new extractor. And this baby shoots single whole groups at 50 yards with federal gold match.

This is my other 10/22 that I go out and burn up alot of cheap ammo with :D
The mag light was just on there as a joke and I've taken it off since the picture but the rest of the rifle is the same.

Nice looking gun, and even better that it shoots well. I wish i had another 10/22 just to blow ammo through when i got that itchy trigger finger. The other day I was out shooting my mini 14 for the contest and i couldnt print any good groups. So I blamed my trigger finger and blew through 2 thrity round mags. Then I went back to target shooting and i'll be danged if that didnt helped my groups a bit :P I'm glad to see we are getting more people for the contest. I just pollished and broke in my barrel so no targets posted yet. Happy shooting -Carnifex

Welcome to the forum HeatAttack. Nice Rifle. I have the same barrel on my Silhouette 10/22. Shoot your best target, and enter our shooting contest. You can always edit, and replace it with a better one. I plan to shoot Sat morn. Will post mine then. Hope it dosen,t rain again. ;)

Hey HeartAttack-That second pic of the 10/22 w/the reddot and banana clip looks pretty darn cool! Have you ever thought about a pistol grip stock for it? Choate makes a great P/G stock that would look great on your fun-gun. The first one looks good too. :D :usa:

Where can I get a rail for a red dot? I picked up a cheapo last night and the rail supplied by Ruger is too narrow. Thanks.....

it's a weaver TO-9 base. Thats the base I use on both my rifles. I like it, You have to leave one of the mounting screws out though so make sure you leave the blank spots screw in the reciever so it doesn't collect crud.

Thanks a bunch HeatAttack. I picked up a TO-9 base this morning and I am off to the range later today. Any experience with the mag release extension? :D

I like the extension because you just shove your pointer finger into it and the mag releases. Its really not a very expensive mod, the one I bought is plastic and was like 3.95 or somthing like that from midway or cheaperthandirt. I think Im going to take it off though and mold a longer extension piece onto it. That is if I can figure out how make it strong enough and to do it without making it look like a home done job.
EDIT TO ADD INSTALL NOTE:
Its really easy, Take out the trigger group by drifting out the pins that hold it to the reciever. Next inspect how the stock mag release interacts with all the other pieces. You will need to drift out 2 pins (i think its 2) take out the old release put in the new one, reset a spring and put the 2 pins back in. Its really easy once you see how the other one is in and just take it out then reverse the process.

What is involved in the installation? Is it quick and easy?
