I own an springfeild M1 tanker chamberd for 30-06, I think I payed $450 for it about 10 years ago brand new, I was woundering how much it might be worth now. I have'nt shot more that 50 rounds threw it, It seams to jam alot, could it be the clips or the ammo?
It seams to jam alot
There's a good chance its a re-weld - that is M1 recievers that were cut in half bought as junk and welded back together.

There is a very good chance that it is a reweld. Also the "Tankers" have always been hard to make work right. That and the muzzle blast is why they were only an experament with the goverment arsenals. Your best bet is to send the rifle to Orian Enterprises or Fulton Arms for a repair quote.

Not sure why the tankers never functioned properly. I've heard it was because of the shortened op rod which just didn't function properly. Something to do with the angles, etc. Just my 2 cents
