Has anyone read/heard/know of any powder mfg adding filler to product to increase sales? Seems a little far fetched, even for American business ethics, but I saw a post on another board refer to Bullseye.

NOT TRUE. Alliant makes Bullseye now and any powder manfacturer that would do something lke that would subject themselves to lawsuits that would easily bankrupt the company and may also land the executivees in jail as well. While a company might want to increase it's margins, they would not take that kind of risk to do it. In business, reward is always weighed against risk and doing that just does not make any sense because the risks far outweigh any reward.

It has become popular in our society to bad mouth corporations as many people have not been taught even the most basic economic theory in the government schools. Your comment about American business ethics tells how you are already thinking. WHERE did you get that idea that to lie, cheat and steal is American business ethics? That is NOT what built American companies into the best in the world. Not knowing how American business really works (which is by deliberate design) makes it easy for the schools to indroctrinate students in socialism which is what the government wants. It is Bullschmitt.

A legitimate company can increase it's profits by three different methods ( at least if you understand economics): 1) Simply increase the price of the product. 2) Cut the cost of the product. 3) Increase sales of the product or perhaps, some combination of these.

To add filler to a product like powder is NOT a choice anyone with half a brain in business would do but there are those who attended government schools out there that will believe such a thing.

Interestingly enough, Alliant also makes 2400 powder. Today you can actually use (and SHOULD actually use) LESS of it and get the same results that you could get just three or four years ago using more of it. So why would they do that and then cut the Bullseye with filler? The answer is simple if you have the brains to think about it. THEY DIDN'T!!!

Enron, Worldcom, Tyco, kMart, Arther Andersen, and a half a hundred others speak volumes about the ehtics in todays business world. Today's multinational company has allegiance only to itself - not America nor its stakeholders which includes customers, owners, employees.

Yep. You can name the bad guys. There are a few. There always are. You named five. How many others can you name? Now go to any search engine and type in Fortune 500 list and see 500 companies that are the best in the world and that do not have crooks running them. There are a 100 good ones for every bad one and that's a fact that is easily made. And anything that has a 95% sucess rate isn't something that ought to be bad mouthed or lied about.

And unless the customers and employees actually have bought and paid for company stock, they are NOT stake holders or even share holders. They are simply customers or employees and neither would be better off if the company wasn't there or if it was run by the government, and outside of the capitalistic system we have now, those are the only other options.

The liberals are using class warfare to attack for profit corporations and you have fallen for it. The liberals are attacking the capitalistic base of America. All big business is bad. They cheat the little guy. They don't pay taxes. They polute the envoronment. They cause wars. They are greedy.

Sorta sounds like tax cuts for the rich. They don't pay their fair share. They cheat the little guy. Tax cuts are bad. They are greedy. They make deficits. They will ruin social security. They will ruin Medicare. They are going to throw momma out of the nursing home and starve little children. We can't afford tax cuts. How are we going to pay for tax cuts?

And it sounds like a page right out of the democrapic play book. It will work on uneducated and uninformed people. It will work on union members. It will work on school teachers but it isn't going to work on anyone with half a brain or anyone whose taken even the most basic economics course.

And besides that, the subject here is Alliant powder, specifically Bullseye, being adultrated with fillers. That is a LIE. It is not true. If you have any factual information to the contrary, post it here or shut up about it. We have anti-gun types posting that sorta crap around the Internet all the time and you are not going to get away with it here.

Because some companies are run by unethical people does not mean all of them are. But the democraps want you to believe that. They need you for their class warfare games. I just don't think many here are going to fall for it. I'll bet there aren't many democraps here.

Most of these guys are gun owners and democraps want to sue the gun companies because they deliberately and illegally sell guns to criminals don't you know? They are bad. They cause all sorts of crime. They kill people. They run up costs in hospital emergency rooms. They cause gang fights. They cause drive by shootings. They cause liquor store robberies. They cause school shootings. And everybody knows that we don't need guns anymore in our modern civilization. After all, this is 2003 and it isn't the wild west anymore and John Wayne is dead.
(He smoked you know?) We have 911 and all you have to do is dial it. Of course, most gun owners and NRA members are too dumb to do that.

We've heard it all before. Big business is bad. Tax cuts are bad. Guns are bad. The NRA is bad. The rich are bad. Bush is bad. The CIA is bad. The Army is bad. Christians are bad. Prayer in school is bad. Pledge of allegence is bad. Flying the flag is bad. Singing the national anthem is bad. Boy Scouts are bad. SUV's and pick up's are bad. Hunting is bad. Bullseye powder is bad. God, motherhood and apple pie are bad.

Yeah RIGHT buddy. You and the horse you rode in on. :P :P :P

I learned a long time ago never to argue with idiots because they drag the discourse down to their level and beat you with experience.
