View Full Version : pump action ak's par-1/par-3
 I just bought one of the century arms pump action ak's and wanted to share with all my comrades here in communist california what the deal is on these rifles.first of all i completely dismantled it upon getting home to discover that the receiver is the same receiver you will find on any stamped romanian semi-auto.thats right it is the SAME.anyone could buy an ak parts kit for stamped receivers and replace the front end of the gun(3 rivets)and bolt and they will have a semi-auto ak.the trigger assembly is also the same.of course this would be ILLEGAL in our state but it isnt illegal to own the parts kit not installed.i just wanted to share this info with all of you out there and let you know unlike the pump ar-15's this gun is the same lower receiver as its semi-auto counterpart.if you decide to convert one make sure you get the right caliber for your model of pump action.
i happen to have the 5.56 pump so it would be harder for me to find a parts kit than if i had bought a 7.62 which now i am considering upon this discovery.i was relieved that this gun is romanian and not chinese and was let down that the receiver was not a milled receiver-who knows maybe there will be a milled version coming out soon.
I've been thinking long & hard about these pump-action rifles.I'm glad to here it's the same receivers. So these pump actions are available with what type of features? I guess the ever -important militia arm "bayonet" ;folding stock; flash suppressor; muzzle brake. What companies manufacture the AK version & the Ar verion ? The thing that has prevented me from 100% getting 1 is that it's like caving in & conforming to the Liberals. This next 12 months ,fight the assualt rifle ban by sending letters to politicians, & supporting pro-gun orgs. the next 12 months is our last shot at having gun rights. :usa:
Nari, freedom. just out of curiousity whats different on the DPMS AR15 pump rifles lower reciever than the standard AR lower? Of course for some big bucks you guy's can buy the pistol gripless Robinson Arms 96 they say is Cali. legal. Myself I would'nt feel bad with a Mini. http://www.awatters.com/m1a/calegal.html
:trooper: hey flak/freedom-in addition to pump ar's and the gripless robinson we can also have FAL's made by entreprise in Southern Cal.They are just like the AR's with fixed 10 shot magazines.Freedom-I have already accesorized my PAR-3 with a ACE LTD folding stock and FAL style grip along with converting it from rivets to screws.I also bought 2 quick release scope mounts for the side rail that comes factory installed.I am currently waiting for a Krinkov .223 parts kit from Florida Arms which will also be converted to screws and made into a dummy gun for legal purposes.I have an ATN Ultra Sight Digital for one mount(Krinkov setup)and an ATN 6X-18X rangefinding scope for the other rail(the pump action setup).Oh I almost forgot-there will be a laser sight on the Krinkov dummy gun-LOL.Freedom-there are NO laws prohibiting us from accesorizing our pump action rifles.Flak-the pump action AR's receiver is completely different than a regular AR receiver and can never be made into a semi auto.Any other questions?
May the force be with you
Nari
Oh yes, I'm a big fan of mini also
