Howdy. My dad just got his concealed carry permit and we were checking out some carry guns. I saw a springfield micro compact 1911 that looked nice. Anyone have any experience with this gun as in recoil or size for concealment, accuracy etc. Thanks alot.

As a matter of fact I own one. I carry it in a Blackhawk urban carry fannypack in the summer. It's size makes it extremely concealable. As far as recoil goes I think it is the same as a full size model. Accuracy is 5 inches at 15 yards which is considered combat accuracy. It is good enough for me. Anything I feed this gun it will cycle flawlessly. I would recommend it to anyone.:2guns:

I find the micros a little harder to control because of the abbreviated grip. They are wonderful for concealment though.

my kimber ultra carry is my carry gun.6 rounds of .45acp will be more than enough.

I use the Kimber Ultra Carry II. Can shoot 2-3 inch groups at 20 yards. Holds 8 with one in the pipe. Would recommend.
