Nothing really special, but it works well and I love it.

Hogue Overmolded Stock
Acraglas Gel bedding
Harris Bipod (9-13") and Mini-14 Adapter
Ace Buttstock Magazine Pouch (with 10-round Triple K magazine and a broken case extractor)
Weaver V3 1-3X telescopic sight with Butler Creek caps in Ruger rings

I bust walnuts at 25yds offhand w/ the Weaver easily - it shot this way before bedding too. Not too sure about 100yd grouping yet but have shot 2-3" w/o bedding and the Weaver before.

Looks pretty wicked Mughi-14. What muzzle brake do you have, how do you like it?

Davey - it's a leather padded Super Sling from Wal-Mart. I like it but tend to switch slings and such around a lot. Right now, the Mini has a CQB Solutions three-point sling on it. I like both - the CQB Solutions works well but can twist a bit and frays on the edges, the Super Sling isn't as hand's-free but is better made. The Super Sling is on a 12 gauge right now.

Cajungeo - the brake is a Smith Enterprise post-ban. A pain in the butt to attach, but I love it. Cuts muzzle flip so much, I can finally double or triple-tap safely. Drilling, chatter, and tough chrome moly steel equals numb hands...

Hey cool muzzle brake there!
What do you actually do to install it? Does it just slide on the barrel and then you set the screws or do you have to do something more, like drilling?

How do you like the V3 Weaver scope? I have a 6 x 20 x44 on my AR. Would like something with less power for more tatical shooting. It gets great groups at 100 yards, but the 44 Mag scope is really big.........

Diligentia - yeah, I had to drill the barrel. Used a neighbor's drill press at first, which chattered badly. Ended up using a Dremel with engraving bits. Set screws work though.

Coyote - I love the V3 - didn't like it much at first, but after playing with a 3-9X on another Ranch, now I love it. It lets me leave both eyes open at every power, corrects my nearsighted right eye, and I can crank it up for longer shots.

Of course, 3X is useless for varmints. My best shot was several years ago - hit a paper-wrapped "smoke bomb" that had extinguished itself. Cranked the Weaver up to 3X and fired once at about 45 yards. Blew that 1.5 inch-wide tube in half, which then burned up... that was before bedding it.

Ah, memories (like my hi-caps, just memories...)

I love your rifle

I am working on setting up my mini 30 very similar to yours. Did you get that muzzle break from delta force? I was thinking of ordering one that looks very similar and I believe it was a smith.

great looking gun!

Joel,

Got the brake from Brownells - $38.00 - but I think it's the same as the one from Delta, from what I hear. The reason I go with Brownells is their no-bull$hit return policy, even though they can be really expensive. If I know I'll like it, I order cheaper.

Good luck on your 30.
