How do I STOP those infernal e-mail messages that continusously pop up in my e-mail telling me somebody has replied to a thread? I have checked UNSUSCRIBE to all of them and I have checked "NO" on the options page where it asks if i want to be notified when somebody replies to a thread I participate in but it KEEPS ON HAPPENING and it's driving me NUTS!!!!Wherever the "trigger" is for that particular thing, the default ought to be NO and if somebody wants it, THEN let them turn it on but I'm betting most people DO NOT WANT that so why is the default YES?

HOW do I turn the damm thing OFF FOREVER?

Have you gone into your User Control Panel and removed ALL subcriptions? There is a tool withing the CP to remove all thread subscriptions.

I've noticed that you have changed your option to NOT subscribe by default.

Once you do both of the above, the email bombing should subside (grin).

You are a fairly active user of the board. The reasoning for the defaults set to automatically "subcribe" to email updates is that this is a small, lightly trafficed board. I want to remind members (that are less active than you!) that there is activity here.

Thanks. I THOUGHT I had seen that somewhere but I couldn't find it again. I'll look for the CP thing now. It's only sending me messages about the reloading forum now. All others have stopped. I HOPE!!

And one other thing, MANY THANKS for allowing this bunch on the 4 th Annual forum to roost here. As you can see, they are mostly a harmless group without any fussing or foul language. They are good guys.

I am trying to encourage others to join us as they jump in the discussions. I want as much representation as we can get but I don't want any trouble makers. This group usually takes care of that and trouble moves on since it can't get any traction with us.
