I was at a gun show last weekend and ran across a stainless revolver in .40S&W that also accepted .38-40 (dual cylinder). It was a single action, and if it weren't for the check the IRS is going to want this week, I would have bought it right then and there. I like the idea of keeping all of my handguns running the same caliber, making it easy to reload and not worry about what goes into what.

Anyway, my spotty memory is making me unsure, but I'm about 90% sure this thing was a Ruger, but I don't see it listed on their web site. Anybody else back me up on this, and any thoughts on if this would be a good CAS gun?

Your memory is not failing you; Ruger has made 38-40/40S&W revolvers. Take a look at http://www.auctionarms.com and do a search on Ruger 38-40.

Thanks!

I was going nuts  wondering about that, and wasn't having any luck finding information about it on the web. It being discontinued makes not finding it on the Ruger web site make sense.
