I forgot to add I am also a M1 owner. Here is a Pic of me and my 43' M1. Note to self: Stop trying to close the bolt with your tounge.

I have never seen anyone with M1 tongue before...
but I have heard of a guy that had something worse.
It used to be that GI's would pee down the barrel to remove the effects of corrosive ammo, and I guess he got a little too close to the bolt release and..You guessed it..M1 Peni$..OUCH..
